HBB = the Heather Bailey Blog

http://www.heatherbailey.typepad.com/

I've been a fan of Heather Bailey for a while ... though I didn't know it. I had the opportunity to hear her speak at the Princess Startup event 2 Fridays ago. She is brilliant, blessed, gorgeous and (!) inspiring.

A is for Art & Poetry.

Here is another poem:

He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven
by William Butler Yeats

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

I like that poem, another possible plate. The art is by N from several months ago. I'm going to make iSpy quilts for Christmas -- no relation to iPhones, iPods or any other iTems. I am thinking of embroidering the drawing onto a square for his quilt. A bit grim, but there you have it. He'd love it. I love his drawings. Pretty deep for a 7 year old.
