I know that constantburnoutphase (yes, it is actually one word). It is something other than what you think it is -- the cause. It is not the camp, girls, weather, time, etc. and the only way out is not through... gotta find the source of the flame and figure out how to redirect it and put it under your butt. Thrive: pretty much anywhere, anytime.
Exercise is a big factor ... time for spin actually!

A is for Art du Auto.
Recently while cleaning the van I came across this scene.
It is breathtaking in its completeness, elegance, range of textures and random silliness. Silly is a power word.
This image tells a story of the van, the children who ride in it, the grit of childhood -- o.k. perhaps that is going a little over the top...
M (5) loves to undress her dolls--now she is just starting to dress them. I'm not sure if Barbie's negligee is intentional or not.
The composition struck me. Not one item was unnecessary.

B is for Bafflement.
Sideline: my bro' fears that the super delegates will go for Hillary. Nooooo!
bushclintonbushclinton? Nooo! Also heard that BJClinton had over 1000 affairs just in AK. I just don't get this. Why does the media make a deal out of Romney's great great grandfather being a polygamist over a century ago when Hillary Clinton is married to one? When I talk to other women and ask about this all but one have said that staying married to someone so unfaithful is an issue. Their marriage is sick. Her tears make me ill. Getgetgetoverit. Would Golda Meir cry? Even Dr. Ruth Westheimer -- she was a sniper in Israel.
McCain swears like a sailor in the senate? And he is 71 years old. Older than R. Reagan (69) when he was elected. Wish we could look up to a leader for a change.
Ha. Change! Missing Romney. Go Obama Go!

B is for Befores.

This is what our family room looked like on a good day. A good day looking bland and bad. The punching bag was a nice touch. The slipcovers are covering a multitudes of crime, grime and sins. Sharpee markers used by frustrated boys. Gashes in the fabric. Dog smells and stains. Also they are just not that comfortable. This room was not an inviting place to socialize or just sit.

B is for Bratwurst.

This is from an email from Gama, H's mother. I can hear her laughing as she typed:
Last night in Lindon, H and her gang gave me a birthday dinner (we also celebrated the first night of Hanukkah). Besides Latkes we bought bratwurst from Seigfried's Deli in Salt Lake City. Little N went into the deli with me and spotted some of his mom's favorite German chocolates. He insisted on buying them. We put the bratwurst and the chocolate package into a plastic bag and went to their home. [N went with H, and the bratwurst, ahead.]
At dinner after the potato pancakes, H asked me why I wasn't frying the bratwurst. I said I thought she or C were doing that. No one knew where the bratwurst was. H put two and two together. Either they were still in the van or N knew where they were.
"Oh. Yes." he said, "They're in my closet." They could have stayed there until Christmas. My oh my - what a stink that would have been. He went to his room; found them, and H fried them up. Delicious!

B is for Beauty

My friend Katie sent this link to me. It is lovely, amazing to watch. Nice cello too. :)
Actually this is interesting comment on beauty. I've heard that beauty isn't about uniqueness but rather the lack of it. Beauty is reward of being average, well, the epitome of averages. Those averages haven't changed a lot over time.

B is for Bizarro!

B is for my favorite funny page ART, Bizarro by Dan Piraro. He has a great new book out from Abrams Books, "Bizarro and Other Strange Manifestations of the Art of Dan Piraro." All of his books are fantastic! C gave be about 6 of them for my birthday last year. It was a great birthday, everyone sitting around reading and laughing.
Check out his web site: http://www.bizarro.com/books/Bz_Art_of_DanPiraro.htm
Thanks Dan, for writing and sharing with this blog!

B is for Banananananas.

For a while M liked to open things. EVERYTHING. Bananas were the special of the day when this picture was taken. M opened bags of chips, lipstick, milk, medicine, mascara, rolls of coins, her diapers, packages of hearing aid batteries (and ate them). Happily, I am reporting that she is not doing this so much any more. We could never figure out where she got those things or where we were when she opened them... Definitely super-hero talent material.
