u is for unsystematic

Art by M on my iPhone, emailed to me.

K and his friend.

The Celestial Kingdom resembles my glittered filled desk.
Being only Terrestrial, this took a long while to clean up... there is still glitter everywhere. Shame. This was from the middle of December.

Hot glue and glitter are a good combination. Take care though, this is a Hazardous combination. Great for fast glitter application. (Thanks Hiedi for the inspiration.) Remember: glitter heats up!
This was a card for my tech-savvy Dad's most recent birthday... we made a short puppet show and sent it to him via YouTube, so he could watch it on his Apple.

L is for Lucky!

N saw this and said, "MAAAAAAHHHHHMMMMM, [Mom] you are so lucky!"
I said, "Ya know... the harder you work the luckier you are."
S (16) said, "Whoa. You are amazing." Meaning... where do you keep all these corny sayings?

This is from Utah Valley Magazine. Last year when the home tour was canceled I called UV Mag and told them that our house was kinda decked out, might be good in a future Christmas issue. Jeanette Bennett and her husband came by and took lots of pictures. Fun! Doesn't quite capture all the glitter though. ;)

G is for Glitter... the drawer.

What if everyone liked glitter as much as I do? Cleaning out this drawer of the empty bottles? No way. They are so pretty!

For our 17th anniversary C gave me some lovely glitter. A bracelet, broach and earrings. All vintage crystals, an E__?__ set from the 40s . Pink and shinny, perfect for my "inner raccoon." (Raccoons love sparkly things.)

G is for Glitter.

Glitter: we can't get enough of it. I have a drawer of bottles of glitter. We painted a large wall with glitter (Benjamin Moore Studio Finishes™ Glitter Effect 311) over grey metallic paint. Our kitchen counter is by CaesarStone (www.caesarstoneus.com). The color is Ebony Reflections. Our kitchen floor is also glittered.

The floor is gray and teal checkerboard, with black "grout." It is by Amtico. I love it, however it is not really appropriate for home use, no matter what the company says. If you decide you want to create a floor that might be appropriate in a teen clothing store, or accessory outlet, check out Amtico's glitter. Avoid white and be sure to hire a trained Amtico installer.
