T is for Times Square


C here with my first post. Normally when I come to NYC I stay in the Union Square area, but that hotel was full. Union Square feels like home to me, so being just off Times Square puts me in tourist central. Last night there was a family -- a large black family of maybe 6 children complete with parents -- standing together in formation singing choir music. It was a beautiful sight.

I give money to street performers, but I never give money to panhandlers. One never knows if they are bringing down $60K/year that way and it is much better to help via organized charities.

There is a nice W at the top of the W Hotel for the one missing below. And another for WaMu. And an M for M&M World to the far right.
