They present their talks without jargon, innuendo or winking at me, or my sons. Their clothes are feminine without looking like come-ons. Just saying...
Good point about the conference speakers! Which makes it so confounding to me that so many Mormon women think she's acceptable. I hope that will change now after that "debate."
ReplyDeletesorry, me again. and if she wants to be taken seriously by the mainstream--not just "joe sixpack"--i don't know why she thinks that being flirtatious will help her achieve this? within the context of mormonism, i have yet to meet a church leader who would endorse this for the women (or men!) of the church, young or old. her behavior demeans everyone.
ReplyDeleteI agree JT. The Chronicle said perhaps she should have mentioned Joe Chardonnay, he might have been her target audience. Since the debate she has done fund raisers where the minimum donation is $40,000. What kinda six-pack of root beer is that?
ReplyDeleteActor Jon Voight (Angelina's super creepy father) is a fan of Palin's... that is kinda what they look like to me.
Palin has taken women in politics, the work force and, especially to me, family life back a few squares. Can you just imagine a MAN doing those things--Winking at the audience? Referring to His brother's 3rd grade class & extra credit? He would be seen as silly, ridiculous not refreshing.
